Life’s Heart – October 2019 Update

Greetings to all,

Tim landed in Nairobi on October 2 and spent the first few days adjusting to the time change and preparing to head to the Naroosura, Narok and villages. Replacement trees were found for the ones damaged by the heavy hail storm a few weeks ago. The Narok orchard is doing well despite the weather conditions.  After arriving in Naroosura, Tim along with Patrick, Simon & Vincent have been assessing villages. The weather is extremely dry, hot and the hail storm destroyed most of the growing green plants. Villages are in need of food and medication for the children. Life’s Heart has purchase the maize, beans, cooking oil, tea, salt, sugar and soap. Medical supplies have been secured from the govt hospital.  All the supplies have been repackaged into family size quantities. The first distribution will be Friday to the Nkoisusu village with approximately 165 households! GOD is good!!  AND the borehole wells are pumping clean, fresh water at the Narok orchard and in Naroosura! Praise God!!

I spent the past week in Beaumont TX serving with 8 Days of Hope. I met up with my mission friends, Diane & Dorene and met new mission friends too. 8DOH provided us with an interesting place to stay – former Youth Detention Center. It was a hot, sweaty week of being HIS hands and feet and shining the light of Christ to several individuals. We mucked out, gutted, tore out, carried out, cleaned up and anything else from flood damage homes. Prayed over families, homes, individuals, friends, travel, sickness and hearts. Worshipped together! AND yes, made WalMart runs😉

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow…….

Marcia
